The real benefit of the original lounge was that it had direct access to the gate or gates which British Airways used at the time, but that all ended anyway.
Have already been up there in hot weather and the air con works well. The bar is a nice space with a perfectly respectable selection, but none of the range from the existing lounge sadly. The one thing I don't like is that there are no announcements - JER as an airport still very much runs on announcements, and there aren't that many flights, so I'm not sure why they've decided it needs to be totally silent. Easy to miss the first boarding call and end up arriving to a big queue.
