LHR - MAD 5th September BA458

Breakfast given the ungodly hour that this flight leaved. I was not upon this by choice but it was the only BA service to arrive before 16.10 when our flight to Nantes departed. There were 8 rows of Club so in Row 1 we had all the choices. I chose the Full English and HI chose the Omelette. He said that his was decent given that it came from an airline oven. I agreed. I do not understand why Strawberry Jam alone is offered when normally many chose marmalade. The croissants and other Vienoisserie would not have been tolerated in any Boulangerie worthy of its name. However for airline pastries they passed muster - just. The Champagne that they said that I had to drink was Castelnau - but it tasted better than I remembered. Cepages come and Cepages go! We, the CE cabin drank three bottles. The crew were absolute mustard. I recalled the IFL from other flights and she knows exactly what she is doing as did the two working with her.
