I continue to sing high praises of this hotel. The restaurant buffet here may be my favorite hotel breakfast in the entire world: great selection, great quality, and it changes every day (not just a few items, but easily 50% of the menu). The club lounge is solid, and the ease of getting to the hotel and around Macau is second to none (in Cotai), provided one is willing to pay 3 MOP for the light rail. There's one thing I wish they'd do differently: The fountain view suites are pleasant enough, but really nothing special if one stays repeatedly. 95% of my nights in Macau are midweek, which has meant that over the years I've been upgraded to some crazy high roller suites at Sheraton, SR and Conrad. At GH, it's always the same base suite (again: pleasant enough). Has anyone been upgraded to a higher suite type? I don't want to appear greedy seeing that I'm usually staying on rates around 1000 MOP, but I wouldn't mind checking out a Grand Deluxe or Executive Suite (which per Hyatt.com are only some 50-100sqft larger than the Grand Suite) every now and then, or whetever else they have suite wise. The staff are so nice and I genuinely love staying here, so I'm reluctant to spoil things by asking for a better upgrade.
