Further to my initial posting regarding QF 93, QF 12 on 7/9 (which I was booked on in F) was also cancelled due to "technical issues"
In the Sydney F lounge on 9/9, QF 11 also cancelled (which would have been operated by mu outbound flight from LAX)
Re-booked (downgraded) to J on 7/9 on a solid J product from SFO to SYD
It would be interesting to know how many A380's have ended up being cancelled or significantly delayed over the the last 6 months and the reasons for this
Anecdotally, the number seems to be too high
The "spin" of the A350-1000 in F being of any real utility in long haul is years away thanks to the previous CEO's myopic vision re purchasing new aircraft
Are we destined to accepting the ageing A380 fleet of 10 is so tightly over-committed that if one has a tech issue the entire A380 network collapses with cancellations?
