I think the love is because JetBlue, knowing the end was near, let the E190 cabins deteriorate into a mess of faded and scraped paint, dirt everywhere, and tired seats. Notwithstanding your criticisms, walking into a new A220 is a breath of fresh air.

My biggest issue with the swap is the reduction in flight frequency on some routes. My family uses BOS-DCA a lot, and not that long ago there were 13 flights a (week)day. Then they cut it to 10 (non E190 related) and now it looks like it's going to be 7 or 8 going forward. It's the same or even slightly more seats per day, but less choice in when to fly. I know you guys that deal with one or two flights a day to an outstation won't be sympathetic, but we had grown used to the extreme flexibility.
