Was this in BOS? I don't see my note on the banner.

I was at the retirement party at JFK gate 14 514 (still getting used to this). They had fruit and vegetable platters along with water and lemonade, and the same cookies being handed out. There was plenty of swag, including stickers, E190 trading cards (you could see where they had been punched out from larger paper), A320 postcards , and brand-new E190 safety information cards.

It was a fun time and they made a few speeches. I also saw a lot of people I knew, so it was nice to catch up. The majority of passengers were employees, and a couple of my friends (who were not employees) cheered when Joanna Geraghty asked if there were any "real" customers. Every seat and jumpseat on the aircraft was occupied. Sadly I did not get to go on the flight, so I drowned my sorrows in a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck at the Chase Sapphire Lounge by the The Club at T4.

It was JetBlue's first send-off, and they did a pretty good job. The ERJ-190 was my first JetBlue aircraft as an adult, and was also my last in my JetBlue-flying chapter where I flew nearly a million miles over the course of a few years. Many of those flights were on this plane and I will miss it.
