I noticed the lack of Mexico City options, too, which is disappointing because I loved the locations (next to Angel Independencia!!) when I stayed.

It looks like Sonder has struggled in Mexico City since at least 2023, according to their Q3 2023 earnings call transcript, and closed 80 buildings in 2024. I suspect they couldn’t improve their Mexico City portfolio fast enough and exited the market.
