What's up with UA.com's javascript (?) background load activities on search results?

This is probably a trivial gripe, but gets annoying when trying to search quickly for multiple alternative itineraries in succession.

There is something about UA.com's website functionality where as it tries to display your search results, it is engaged in some results/content loading activities in the background that effectively disables responsiveness of:
  • input fields like from/to airport/date, to change your next search
  • search/refresh button
  • sort/filter
  • etc
And the most annoying thing is that if you try to engage one of these items while it's doing this, you get a lag and incorrect broken input which is worse than not doing anything.

Is it doing things like loading all seat maps of the itinerary options that you can click open? The fare calendar? Some other data? It is really slow and annoying. They're doing it wrong.

Minor rant over.
