Anyone familiar with "Z" fares?

I usually travel on F or A fares and I was looking at my ticket for travel this Wed IAD-LAX and it was a "Z" fare. I wanted to switch my ticket for another flight but was told there were no "Z" fares available. From what I understand this is a business class ticket (even though I am in First). Can anyone help here and explain this to me.

If I show up standby, will I get a First seat? If it's a three-class cabin (there's two 767's a day) will it be in business?

I know this run usually costs $4K in F class and I paid half of that, so I understand there might be restrictions...just haven't ever seen this "Z" before.

Thanks to anyone who can help.
