I think there's another thread here somewhere regarding the same thing in business starting to appear on BA.com. Seems like adding layers of flexibility within a fare class so you no longer have to go up to e.g. W to get flex. Also means that FT are less likely to be able to give definitive answers to such questions as the OP, because the terms of the different levels are likely to be even more market dependent.
