I'm flying into BTV in November and I need to rent a car -- seems like Alamo, Dollar, and Enterprise are the main options. There's an Avis outlet too, but that seems to be one to avoid according to google reviews. I've never flown into BTV before, but ChatGPT is warning me not to attempt to prepay any car reservations with a separate card then the one I'll be presenting at pickup for this location. I've done this before (many times) at larger airports with skip-the-counter service, but AI is warning me that I'll have to stop by the counter at BTV to present my ID, credit card, and sign the contract -- and that if I have a different credit card than the one used to prepay, they could cancel the rental. Is that true?? I don't see why it would be a problem to use a different card for the hold; can anyone please confirm?
