Edit: to give one data point (because I can't think of a reason why I can see award space and others can't), there is space for HKG-DFW on Dec 26.
Edit 2: if you are referring to flights to HKG from North America only, LAX-HKG had a bunch of seats in February last time I checked.
Your first reply was about flying from HKG to..., so I tried using a VPN to access from Hong Kong thinking perhaps it was some sort of location block (I'm USA).

But no... I checked both examples you provided; no joy. (the first pic is HKG to DFW; I just neglected to make a full screen capture.)
