Would this be a better option than hotels on Bath Rd in terms of ease of getting to Terminal 3?
Prefer to do bus vs train. Will just have carry on and backpack.
What time would you suggest leaving hotel? Thanks !
The train is very easy. You just walk through the covered walkway from the hotel to the terminal, and take the lift down to the Elizabeth Line/Heathrow Express station from there. The first EL train is at 05:30 and they are every 15mins from 06:00. It's a 5 minute journey. Just tap in/tap out using Apple Pay/Google Pay and you won't get charged. Or you can get a free transfer paper ticket from the machine.
There is also the option of the Underground but that's a longer walk at both the T4 and T3 end.
Bath Road is also easy, though it depends a bit on which hotel as some are closer than others. Personally I prefer trains to buses as the latter can be crowded so would pick T4 at this price. Also if coming from London, you can get the train straight to T4 without needing to catch a bus on the end, so I would say more convenient than Bath Road.
At the Premier Inn you can also pay slightly more for a runway view, which if you're a plane enthusiast is worth it.
