I just returned to the U.S. At Lima Airport:
- at least for U.S. bound flights, there is still the manual checking of carry-on luggage. Apparently, focused on liquids exceeding 100 ml/3 oz.
- the lounge that United Airlines uses is The Club Lima or something, which is just adequate and was pretty busy, though I did get a seat. Wouldn't plan to spend a lot of time there though.
- I used Uber from Miraflores and worked fine. 75 sols with a 845pm pickup.
- The only preferred line I saw for security/immigration was for people with disabilities/elderly/etc. But the main line moved speedily and wasn't a big problem.
- no restrictions on entering the terminal building
