If the plane you will be on has viasat, prepare for the possibility of zero wifi coverage past a certain point of the Pacific crossing, regardless of free or paid. The good news is that the A350 fleet has the lowest percentage of the fleet that's equipped with viasat, but there is a high enough percentage of them with viasat that makes it a real risk of no coverage.
