Stayed for a couple nights. Upgraded at check in to a very spacious executive suite. It had a bedroom and a living room, former had a master bathroom and latter a half bath. Welcome gift was a few fruits and some handmade chocolate. The carpet in the room had seen better days, but the room was clean and well kept. Executive lounge had something to nibble on throughout the day including strukli, nuts, fruits and couple of other things. Check in took a while because they had just one person working around 5 pm on a Friday. Breakfast was cereal, milk, couple of fruits, scrambled eggs, breads, sausages and couple of hot items. More like a Holiday Inn Express breakfast than something higher end.

It is located about 15-minute walk to the Lower Town and 25–30-minute walk to the Upper Town, though unfortunately many of the old buildings and museums still have not recovered from the earthquake of 2020. Concierge / front desk responsive by email but perhaps a bit too keen to sell you packages, transfers etc.

Went to lobby restaurant Tomassino one evening because it was raining and we couldn't walk to our dinner reservations in Lower Town. Mistake. The food was just bland, more expensive than nicer places in town and they do not accept Marriott Amex card as payment.

Overall, a dated but perfectly acceptable property - about 2 hours to Plitvice by car, and 20 minutes to the airport - so a good place to stay at beginning or end of your Croatia trip.
