On the “technically past peek” comment, the season can vary significantly from year to year, so while you might plan based on historical patterns, it is important to follow one (or more) of the seasonal foliage maps, such as this one:

Pitcher Inn is very nice. Usually the Mad River Valley has good color still 10/15 +/-. This year the colors are starting slowly. It's been historically dry after a record wet May. Nobody really knows how that will affect the tree color. My guess is that we're in for a somewhat muted year.
