Would calling help? Would they charge a phone booking fee for itineraries that cannot be booked online?
Multicity typically means something like AAA-BBB (stopover in BBB) BBB-CCC (stopover in CCC) CCC-AAA, in which case you would pay three bag fees for the itinerary---and you'd presumably want access to your checked bag in both destinations BBB and CCC.
