Is there any option besides AA to earn/redeem from West coast to South America now?

The Singapore story is interesting. They originally partnered with Virgin America because they hated putting their pax (especially their premium cabin pax) on United for domestic US connections. Then AS absorbed VX and SQ partnered with AS for the exact same reason. But a lot of VX's network from SFO and LAX to popular US destinations was rerouted thru SEA. I guess they finally didn't see much gain in it. Plus United has improved quite a bit relative to those years and a lot of the bitter employees from their bankruptcy years have since left.
