It is still a cool and good hotel. I get the sense that weekends are slower for them than weekday business travel.
Room hard product and soft product still good. We specifically wanted a view of the Metro train tracks for my train-obsessed kid. We booked and received a premium suite with balcony (Room X18) with nice train spotting opportunities and a great corner location on top of Washington/National.
Breakfast was good at Butterfly. Had the chilaquiles and the breakfast sandwich. The former was heavy on cheese but had a nice salsa flavor. The latter was visually unimpressive but quite tasty. I could easily see myself paying $19 for these brunch items elsewhere in West LA. You can see the full menu here:
