After finishing up with the Conference Ball last night and a late AM hour to bed, I was glad I had selected the mid-afternoon direct flight for us...more sleep and no transfers at SYD or MEL. Also being over 1K miles, it was 20 status credits rather than only 10.
After taking a taxi out to the Domestic terminal, I easily found the J line in the small terminal (one I've been too many times before). Came across some weary Conference attendees who mustn't have had much sleep over in the Y line and waved...
The QP was empty when we arrived and quickly filled for the Sunday PM travellers about to start another week interstate. Mrs QF WP grabbed some food from the servery whilst I wrote up this part of the TR and tried to hide from some of the worse-for-wear Conference attendees who had access to the QP.
Boarding was at Gate 3 for the flight, thankfully very close to the QP entry/exit.

Captain was Andrew Woodward, CSS was Bruno Corigliano and FA Kathy met us at the door - they would look after the J pax today, FA in Y on our aisle was Suzanne. Announcement was brief - arrival at BNE expected at 6.10pm local time (only 5 mins behind schedule).
I love the fact that the ADL ground crew and FA's still use the manual clicker/counter to ensure the correct number of pax were on board, before we were allowed to leave.
Refreshments this afternoon served at 3.35pm - mine was mixed diced fruit with Apple Juice, Mrs QF WP's was Santos Apricot Snack, Temptation Jamacian spice cake and water. The trays were cleared at 4.05pm
As we were in first row of Y and the cabin was open, spied that the lucky J pax were drinking Rosemount's Giant Creek 20001 Chardonnay and Kirralaa 2002 Bushwine Shiraz.
