Last Saturday I get an Award Wallet alert that the seat assignments of all 4 people had changed. This lead me to discover that AA had changed the aircraft to an old A319 (only 8 F seats).
But I didn't get a single alert/warning from Flighty for either the aircraft change, NOR the seat assignments.
However, Flighty DID update the seat assignments and aircraft (just no alerts).
Is there a different option to enable to be alerted for these?
I know Flighty does aircraft changes because 2 weeks prior, I had gotten a Flighty alert for a different AA flight that was changed quite drastically on me.
I never received an information for a seat change via Flighty and can't imagine Flighty can do this, because they have no access to your booking.
How did your seat assignments update look like?
I think an aircraft and/or flight time change is often quicker via Flighty, but not every time. So it depends on the source they’re receiving these data - unfortunately.
You can only set the notifications in the settings - My Flights. I didn't see any other option to change this. I think these notifications are only for pro members.
Did you also have an aircraft change? (e.g. A321 to A319 - then you should receive a notification) or was there simply a change in the A319 (no notification because flighty don't know the seat map) used?
Maybe you should contact their support - they are really quick and helpful and can try to sort it out to fix it for future flights.
