As others have said, the 175 is treated as a mainline aircraft for purposes of bags. They are limited to 25 roller bags and everything else is checked to the final destination. I have recently seen exceptions for those coming on towards the tail end of boarding when space has run out onboard / the agent can’t quickly print bag tags. Those bags are valet checked and picked up at the gate upon arrival. I also saw a late arrival parent-kid combo in F take the checked bag tags off their bags last week and get into it with the agent when he came on board for doing that as they couldn’t easily find overhead space. They ended up putting one bag in the closet and re-arranging a bin to make the other bag fit.
If I have a roller, the 175 is the one aircraft that I want to be at the gate when boarding starts given the limited bin space and risk of checking the bag to baggage claim. Perhaps I’ll roll the dice after reading this thread

100% agree here on boarding on time if on a 175
