Wow... LA is a huge loss IMO given there's no substitute partner for South America. Just a year ago, 90k could get you round trip J from LAX to SCL. Now it's... the AA runs from MIA/JFK/DFW?

LA was a huge part of the value proposition for me for Alaska's program. With that gone... free agency and the credit card travel portals are looking better and better. If airline miles are going to be exceptionally difficult to redeem for > 2cpm, I might as well get that through Chase UR on a points boost booking AND earn whatever airline's points I'm flying on for paid J.
