moondog I guess that is your interaction with ctrip - good to read it is so good. SV at times another matter - you get a call centre that is not helpful, you cannot escalate to a supervisor, they ask you to fill in web-based forms that are not answered, and good luck with getting a working email address. If someone has appetite to go to the other SV thread I posted and scroll to some events in Spring 2023 - many people with this experience. If ctrip in fact helps better in case of cancellations or other IRROPS, that would almost be a case to book with them instead of directly with an airline.
