Anyone can grab PZ space. I guess UA would rather give those seats to people who have already have paid some money. And maybe not give a really good deal to infrequent flyers looking for award tickets.
Yeah, I get that logic (and appreciate it) but the flight is in 14 hours and it's still PZ9. Anyone who used PP or a miles upgrade on a paid ticket has already cleared and there are still 11 seats. For clarity, I'm gold and have a quest card, just trying to help out friends who don't have status or a card.
