I find that thses cheap TG fares in F to be surprising. Here's why:
I was looking to book a flight JFK-SFO-NRT-BKK(on UA)-MAA(Chenai, India/on TG) and back.
The UA flights had "D" class available, but the TG flights only had "C". So, it was ~$8000 round trip with UA "D" and TG "C". I asked to move the TG segments to Econo, which booked in "Y" (only three hours each), and the price fell from $8000 RT to $5500 RT. This means that TG "C" cost $2500 more than the TG "Y" for the BKK-MAA-BKK.
This seems odd, given I hear that TG F is so reasonably priced. Should I go for TG "F" instead of "C"? Could that POSSIBLY be cheaper?!?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
B.
