I've done my 40k+ and will hit 50k to get the GUF1s, but am now trying other airlines.... Lufthansa was good to NY from where I'm based. Much more airy up top.
As a previous August year end my last physical card expires soon, occasionally I have needed it as some odd lounges have not accepted the app. version. I think that the rebranding is a shambles, the renewal packs were just not ordered, and the job vacancy for a loyalty manager is a symptom of the incoherency within BA around the Club.
Customer agents have been fed a prepared statement which is updated regularly and sent out to anyone enquiring but internally there seems to be no-one in charge and no visible activity.
Clearly compared to some other airlines BA are far behind in their offerings - air france offering bits of concorde to their elite flyers and qantas with their rubberised tags are some examples.
But equally there already seem to be quite a few people on here who've already requalified in under 5 months (i am one) so perhaps BA have got it right with 'the club' after all...
