Does anyone here have any insight as to how far ahead to purchase tickets? I have my first leg booked (fingers crossed about 15 destinations), but the second leg isn't until the 2nd week of October. Wondering if I can safely wait a bit or if I should jump on it ASAP.

I did notice that prices change, sometimes daily on some flights. Had one double on me in a day or so, had to come up with an alternative. My plan probably won't survive intact even tomorrow. I got a bit lucky on my first leg, a few prices went up, but overall it was about 5% less than my initial estimates.

Also, was planning on the JFK->HYA->JFK turn around, but it's starting to look risky, so will have to find an alternative for that, too.
