Post 174 doesn't necessarily know what it's talking about. Many/most of us think it rests on an unduly optimistic interpretation of an ambiguous Q&A from anteater's initial set of clarifying questions to AS.

ETA: In particular, the assertion that SPs and RPs are earned at equal rates, and both include status bonuses, is clearly wrong for some cases on which AS has been clear (eg award tickets earn SP but not RP) and very likely wrong generally.
