It really does feel like things have gone that way. Crediting well priced third party tickets to AS is not good anymore. And AS planes and routes don’t work for most people. However, with the Atmos Summit card, it’s pretty compelling to spend $60k on dining or abroad. That would earn you 180k points + 18k with the relationship bonus. Plus a 100k certificate. That’s an earn rate of 5ppd (points per $) which is incredible. You get 10k annual lp and 30k more from that spend so you’re halfway to OWE status. With 323k points you could redeem 2 trips in J and finish the last 40k off for a very relatively easy path to OWE.
