you cannot apply for the white card, which i presume is the free card. red is the only card that is open to the public

if they are willing to waive the af or have some offer for the silver card, then it could still make sense for you. you can still have a shot at applying for the red, and even if you couldnt, there is no loss as long as you arent paying more af
