I am contemplating staying at Bellagio Las Vegas next year and can chose from a Virtuoso or STARS rate. From what I understand, STARS would be the preferable option as it's the 'in house' reward programme at the hotel (apart from the MGM programme).. I'm not putting too much stock into this being 'prioritsied' over an FHR or Virtuoso rate at the same property for upgrades etc but nonetheless have nothing to lose by making the STARS booking instead.

What I can't establish is the exact T&Cs of the $30 pp. breakfast credit. Breakfast isn't typically a meal we love, but, if the credit is included it would be good to know the parameters. For example, The Buffet is listed as an option but this venue only offers brunch, not explicitly breakfast. If i turned up at 1pm would the breakfast credit be deducted from the charge? Or, to count as 'breakfast' can it only be used at the named venues AND within a timeframe? The venues are specific and easily found but the timeframe is not.
  • Credit is US$30 per person per day (max two), must be charged to room. Valid at Sadelle’s, The Buffet, Bellagio Patisserie, Palio, Café Gelato, Pool Café. No room service. Tax covered, tip not, no rollover.
  • Buffet: weekdays brunch until 3pm, so you can use it at 1pm. Weekends it flips to dinner at 1pm, so no credit after that.
  • Sadelle’s goes until 3pm daily, so that’s your later option.
  • Officially it’s breakfast/brunch only. Unofficially, a few reports (Reddit, FlyerTalk) say credits sometimes posted against later meals if charged to room. Don’t count on it.
  • STARS vs Virtuoso: benefits basically the same.
