The balcony right on the park is appealing, but the noise prevents you to enjoy the view or a drink or a combination of both. One of the annoying noises comes from the whistles of the traffic people working for One Bangkok. I guess that those balconies are still useful for smokers.
When the window was closed, we did not hear any noise.
As a note, I do not have that issue with the other Bangkok Mariott hotels as the windows do not open. One exception were 3 types of suites at the SGS, in which I stayed, but the view on the pool is quiet.
