The only spend I put on my Amex Coupon Platinum card is

- airfare for 5X
- Amex Offers discounted purchases
- spend for offers from the coupon book

For example, why would I put a dinner purchase on the Plat card and earn 1X if I have at least three other cards that earn me 3X flexible bank program points?

But are there people who put a lot more on their Plat? Yes, of course. Not everyone is interested in optimizing and diversifying their rewards. And some people, I think, just like paying with the Plat because it is the Plat.
