bad idea.
The airside bus does not stop in the B concourse (B1) where Alaska operates. Even then, the B terminal concourse stop (B3) is in one direction only, meaning if you would get on the airside bus from Terminal A (where the AC is, you would have to go all the way to Terminal C first, before you can go to Terminal B, but then the Terminal B stop you cannot get Alaska flights without reclearing security again. Alaska used to operate in B3, but now all of its EWR flights are out of B1).
Also, sometimes B1 expedited security such as Pre is not in operations even during rush hours.
