On opening the Hilton app in early January I received a warning message that my diamond status was due to expire at the end of March. The message only appeared once and, as nowhere on the app or on the website states the card expiry date, and I was in Australia with no upcoming stays booked, I forgot all about it. Luckily it appeared BA had (unbidden) asked Hilton to renew my diamond status, as I was welcomed as a diamond member at the Doubletree in Sirkeci, Istanbul on April 1st.

However I had no idea how long that status would last, so I've just 'phoned the Hilton UK freephone number to find out. It took the person who answered around 20 minutes, but I was finally told that I'll keep diamond until March 31st 2027 - i.e. 11 months after my GGL status finally expires, which I'm quite pleased about!
