I'm a little curious why you would find the trunk intimidating. I've had a trunk plus for a number of years now and it fits everywhere, and it's especially well suited to the shallow trunks if lng taxis and sub compact ride share cars in asia. It even fit in my friend's fiat 500 comfortably.
