Hi all - just finished up a 4 night stay with my family for vacation about two weeks ago and would NOT recommend this property. Some quick points.
The rooms and buildings are quite dated. We had purchased a rate and used my SUA to the Grand Executive Suite. The good thing is it's large enough for two rollaway beds for my kids but the room layout is odd and the room did not cool well at all. Like others have noted its quite damp. The bathroom is large and spacious but otherwise not great. Also, the safe is tiny and can't hold that much (like computers or tablets).
The Grand Club is OK. The food service is good but beverage selection is blah....it aligns with what they offer in the "all inclusive" beverage options. The staff is nice but several nights they seemed overwhelmed by guests.
The overall F&B experience was subpar. We waited over an hour and half at the Watercourt one night and saw multiple families who had the "all inclusive" wrist bands served before us. Second the food was not good. My beef rendang was someone's left over steak with rendang sauce added. My kids spaghettis were OK but they were both asleep by the time the food arrived. Service at the pool and Salsa Verde were OK but visitors are better off venturing the Bali Collection area and eating at those local restaurants. You'll save money and have a better experience.
Finally, while the beach looks idyllic from pictures it is littered with trash. It looked like Sandy Hook beach in the 1980s. Really not acceptable. You'd think Hyatt or the Nusa Dua developer would make efforts to clean-up the beach of all the litter. It truly detracts from the experience.
My kids enjoyed the pool and slide but, if we came again, I would search another property in Bali. The Grand Hyatt way underperformed based on our expectations.
