Do you know which will be nicer? I think I'll enjoy the MO more, what do you think?

Also, I emailed the Oriental last week requesting certain items. They have not gotten back to me. Is this going to be what the entire stay will be like, or will it be more professional when I arrive?

Thanks
I went to Bangkok in June 2004 and in preparation of that visit I had planned to stay at The Oriental, the Inter-Con and the Four Seasons. I e-mailed various questions to each hotel and the Four Seasons always responded within 24 hours fully answering my questions and taking proactive measures to anticipate my needs. The Inter-Con also was quick, between 24-48 hours, but the Oriental was the slowest, averaging 48-96 hours. The response that I got from the Oriental was quite poor in terms of addressing the question I had.
Two notable examples: I asked the Oriental and the FS about bespoke suits in BKK. Within 24 hours the FS Concierge team had 2 recommended tailors, with the basic costs for 2 piece suits, 3 piece suits, and blazers, but also priced according to different types of material (Super 100, 120, 150) and textile company (Zegna, Loro Piana, etc, etc). They offered to contact each tailor and have them come to the hotel with samples for a no obligation quotation. The Oriental, 96 hours later, responded by recommending one tailor close to the hotel (which was one of the tailors the FS recommended) and gave me the e-mail address where I can e-mail additional questions.
Second, I had asked the Oriental Concierge team to find for me the cheapest 1 way Business class ticket from BKK to LHR while I was staying at the hotel. I asked in the afternoon of the day of my arrival and I got a call back the next morning with a quote of 70,000 baht on Thai Air in Bus. class. That was it. I asked the same question of the FS Concierge team and they had found, within 3 hours, fares on EVA, Gulf Air, and Cathay, ranging in price from 33,000 baht to 55,000 baht for a 1 way Bus. class ticket.

Maybe the team was "off" in the spring of 2004 but I was not impressed at all, and the Oriental remains for me a rather over-rated hotel.
