HIstorically for me, purchasing Amazon GC online (or rather "reloading" my balance with $500, say) has triggered the online bonus. I doubt it would trigger "retail" though, but I don't really recall that we've had a "retail only" bonus offer in the past few years that I've been tracking (or perhaps I didn't write down the criteria properly).
