A couple hours less at your starting point plus getting home later, the hassle of transiting, longer duration overall, and, worst of all, a three-hour drive after a long flight which is never pleasant. Versus the comfort of business class. There's also the indignity of paying the same miles for Y as you could for J. I always like to try new airlines' business class, and even new transit points, if that's relevant for this case.
Only you can weigh what's more important to you. I would almost certainly choose the J option, but you wouldn't be crazy to choose the more direct one.
