We ordered the wine pairing menu option and it was fun but probably would have been cheaper if we ordered a la carte. I registered my card with Open Table, made the reservation with Open Table, and got the credit right away. Hope I get to use this next winter and that they add more restaurants and cities to the list.
Chase could’ve added all the OpenTable restaurants but I think the way they are implementing is to use the credit as a leverage to get popular restaurants to switch to OpenTable and set aside tables for Reserve cardholders.
As such, I’m not sure if they are going to rapidly expand this list. It wouldn’t make sense for Chase to pay for seats if the restaurant isn’t going to be sold out or if it lowers the perceived prestige of that list.
