Think they designed it to 1950s aircraft levels rather than actually looking at the needs of the airlines and their customers in the 21st century.

There just aren't enough desks for what they want, and not enough kiosks. A lot of airlines can't really use them, and even if people do use a kiosk, they still end up joining exactly the same queue as everyone else as there are no desks as such for dedicated bag drops unlike what say SAS use in T1, so it's not really any quicker.

Too much wasted space where it's not needed, and lack of space where it is needed.

As i said, the baggage system isnt up for the job at present. Too many issues with it.
