I stayed here in 2024. Really liked it. The only IHG in Japan that went above what they have to do for diamonds (everything is very by the book in Japan). I am a diamond and so we got breakfast but they also gave us a dinner thrown in which may have been as our room wasn't upgradable as the more expensive rooms didn't have the balcony tub. Food was really good.

Really friendly young and enthusiastic staff. Most guests seem to stay 1 or 2 nights.

Lovely room- we had one with a tub on the balcony- only downside it that it wasn't the best river to look over and was a bit of a rough/neglected view.

The transport to and from the station was great (you get it from the back of the station). We missed it when we arrived as we thought it would be at the front and set off to work but the driver came up behind us and swept us up and into the car after a few hundred yards (I would think that anyone on the road with a bag is heading to the hotel)
