I was about 7,000 oTP away from GfL which based on my old flying patterns was between 2 and 3 years of normal flying. I’m now on about 430,000 nTP so 120,000 from the moved goalposts. This is now between 8-9 years further flying and only if I can play the system, get distance based nTP and push spend through BAH that I do not want to do. On top of that, based on current behaviour, I don’t trust BA not to move the goalposts again as their whole new spend-based model and inflation rates mean threshold inflation will certainly also become a regular occurrence. The distance based model was different as spend per oTP was inherently inflation proof as fares per oTP were dynamic, now thresholds must become dynamic.
