As a bit of a surprise short notice opening, Marriott will add a Courtyard by Marriott in Kyoto.

The hotel will be operated by JR Tokai Hotels and seems to be a new build. It will be a 1 minute walk from an entrance the Shijo subway station, going to Kyoto station, so very well placed for public transport.

I am planning to go down to Kyoto and check the place out shortly. But may not happen after all. The pictures do look quite acceptable.

The hotel will be open from August 27th and is already open for bookings.
