I think 4k oTP short would roughly translate to 70k nTPs short so even on the cheapest RTW tickets at £5k per 20k nTPs you would be looking at £15-20k spend.

My own feelings on the whole thing are unfortunately coloured by what was said by the only person who ever posted with what turned out to be highly accurate advanced knowledge of the forthcoming changes and that was that the reprieve for lifetime status was temporary. At some point it will be an easy sell for a consultancy advising BA management; there will be few passengers deliberately targeting spend to BA on the basis of achieving a lifetime award within the new system.
