Our family attended a presentation at the Hawaiian Hilton Village in exchange for a $300+ discount on a luau. We would never buy a timeshare directly from HGV, but we've been toying around with the idea of picking something up on the resale market, so we didn't mind the chance to hear about how the system works and see what the units looked like. The salespeople were pretty low pressure, we enjoyed seeing the model units, and the second guy we spoke with seemed happy to go into the weeds on the different scenarios we tossed out (even though I made it clear we weren't there to buy). Overall our experience was pretty positive.
