Interesting that Tripadvisor (TA) page for this hotel indicates over 12,000 reviews with 99% from before its (re)opening as a Hyatt Regency. Interesting also that many of those reviews, both current and going back at least 2 years, have hotel responses “signed” by “Alex K. Social Media Manager”.

I’m far from a savvy user of Tripadvisor and I trust and believe the (fewer) reviews here much more than I trust TA. And I’m close to clueless regarding hotel management.

How likely is it that the “Alex K.” Crown Plaza representative is the same “Alex K.” Hyatt representative? Is it likely to be a pseudonym for TA responses purposes? Does the new Hyatt Regency Times Square have the same management company as the Crown Plaza Times Square of 2024?

Will TA eventually delete Crown Paza Times Square reviews (from the Hyatt Regency Times Square page)?
